funny, charming, sweet and neat, a singer, a mother, don't touch my feet, love me, hate me, I don't care, just don't ask me not to swear, words are innocently woven by my fingers, twisted and turned, in cyberspace they linger, romance, love, passion and sex, drive me to write about that cowboy named tex, writing is something I love to do, comment and I'll ask about you, and if you must know I do like green eggs and ham, how can you not love Sam am I? I'm an aspiring romance author whose very classy. Hello everyone my name is Sassy.

Offline means more time to write

Alex Keegan, Writers Write, Writing tips, books, articles on writing

I would prepare the cups, perhaps a breakfast snack, but would then return to the computer without a drink, without a bowl of cereal. They were to be my rewards for finishing my first page, a page which often caught fire and became three. By the time I eventually downed a mug of tea or had my nice cup of coffee I had often reached 1,000 words and the house was still deathly quiet. I was a writer. I had done my writing duty for the day. And then I discovered the internet.

The above is a snippet of an article written by Alex Keegan which I stumbled while (ahem surfing the Internet) at Writers Write and Internet Journal and not writing when I should be. Writing can be lonely. I have two kids to look after, one with Cerebral Palsy who keeps me busy.

DH also has a brain injury and doesn't remember a damn thing (God bless him) so my brain is overloaded with his thoughts. I have laundry piling up to my eyeballs, dishes that need doing, rooms that need vacuuming. Not to mention I work part time as an Avon rep and can't forget about my customers.

Who has time to write?

"Excuses are made only by those who are trying to excuse themselves from the very job they wished to be excused from so they don't feel the guilt they should feel in knowing there is no excuse..."

Read the rest of the article by Mr. Keegan who has a funny sidebar when it comes to understanding how easy it is to procrastinate, as all of us do, and some tips on how to avoid falling into that pit of despair of making excuses and learning to better yourself as a writer.

And everyone keep up the hard work, because writing isn't easy, but not writing is downright painful!
