funny, charming, sweet and neat, a singer, a mother, don't touch my feet, love me, hate me, I don't care, just don't ask me not to swear, words are innocently woven by my fingers, twisted and turned, in cyberspace they linger, romance, love, passion and sex, drive me to write about that cowboy named tex, writing is something I love to do, comment and I'll ask about you, and if you must know I do like green eggs and ham, how can you not love Sam am I? I'm an aspiring romance author whose very classy. Hello everyone my name is Sassy.

dream big and go for it!

That's what one of my GF's said to me the other day on my becoming one of Harlequin's latest new authors--which is of course my goal. Not my dream. I dream of eating a large bowl of peanut butter ice cream. Having my book Buttercup's Cowboy published with Harlequin is a goal. Though it doesn't hurt to dream big and go for it, I suppose.

One of my favorite authors ALISON KENT whom I read all the time. I mean if her name is on a book, I read it because you just know it's going to be good, filled with real men and women who talk openly to one another, where the human element of emotions are displayed not only with a sense of humor but real feelings to bridge the two leads together. Plus she always makes me laugh. I don't think there is a romance book of hers that she's penned that I haven't loved.

So I do get to be like ALISON KENT? I mean that's like someone saying "I WANNA BE LIKE MIKE." I mean seriously who am I kidding. Look at where this author is right now. She is still pumping out gem after gem for Harlequin. I could only imagine what that is like, to be her, and oh what a life she must lead.

Sometimes I wonder how she got her start? How many manuscripts did she hand in? How did she feel when she found out she was about to be a published author for Harlequin?

Well watch the video below. I enjoyed it, as it really helped put things into perspective for.

Alison Kent 1995 video interview on publishing her first novel.

It's funny, I always thought romance authors led such extraordinary lives. I never imagined them talking to themselves on tape recorders, driving beat up cars, going to normal jobs, while pumping out these amazing reads.

Thanks Alison for giving me hope that one day I might get that phone call from Harlequin and all my dreams may come true. Dream big and go for it, right?

a mystery valentine makes for a great onling card.

Each year I spend time on the internet looking for that perfect Valentines Day card to give to the ones I love. I mean we no longer live in the day where we go out and buy a card, nooooooo, or heaven forbid I make one. I wouldn't want to cause anyone a massive coronary doing that.

It's the Cyber age, the Matrix revolution, the keyboard crazy punch day where in place of a marker is the keyboard, in place of paper, the monitor, and in place of a good old fashioned homemade Valentine, an online greeting.

Friday love list: because i like my neighbors

Friday Yet?

It's been a year and a half since we moved from Kelowna to Abbotsford, British Columbia. I was sad of course, leaving Kelowna, the beautiful beaches--sun and sand. But living here in Abbey, in our co-op I've realized that for the first time in a long time I actually feel at home. So this Friday's love list is why I love living in Bakerview Co-op

Friday love list: there's nothing better for the blue than a little love

You know lately I've been bummed, feeling ill from this damn cold. I've been feeling stressed out because of all the stuff going on with Tas (our 20) month old with Cerebral Palsy. I've been moping, hanging my head, feeling depressed, and its been downright pathetic. I love my life!

Friday love list: tis the season to be cranky

Okay this post is longer than I wanted it to be, but I couldn't help myself. I just had to share these ideas. First I want to say that I know it sucks. The day after Halloween I find myself feeling the same way as I opened up the local newspaper to check the flyer's for good grocery shopping deals, and low and behold I find myself staring at a bunch of Christmas trees. They stare back at me whispering the countdown begins --NOW.

It's November and already the stores are stocking their shelves with those pretty little items to decorate the trees you know will go on sale in about a week. The deals are under way, the commercials are geared up, now that the witch has gone back into cave, and the cauldron is done bubbling. It's the Christmas season
