a lady & tramp valentines memory
Well it's Thursday, which means I am officially posting my first THURSDAY THIRTEEN. I'm excited about it, thrilled to be a part of something so great, and hope everyone has a great day. In honor of Thursday Thirteen, and Valentines Day. I thought this first post would be on my first day memory with my husband, which was on the 14th of Feb.
Thursday Thirteen # 1
THINGS I REMEMBER ABOUT MY FAVORITE VALENTINES DAY DATE WITH MY HUSBAND.
1.) The theme- Lady & Tramp spaghetti dinner at the FED restaurant, a small cafe in Kelowna, B.C. which consisted of a round plate of spaghetti and meatballs for two to share.
2.) The red and white plaid table clothes like from the movie when lady and tramp sat outside the restaurant to eat.
3.) Flowers for the Lady- Hubby (boyfriend) back then, surprised me with four flowers. Yes just four (beautiful roses). He took the time to hand pick them, and then got the florist to spray them in my favorite colors which cost him extra. Three blue and one green. I still have them to this day in my living room. It was the first time a man ever made me cry (HAPPY TEARS).
4.) Having the waitress bring me some wine, only to find out my husband had been in four hours earlier to drop off MY WINE which they didn't carry at the restaurant, so he went and bought a bottle so I could have the wine I love.
5.) Dancing in the restaurant with the rest of the couples to BELLE NOTTE the theme song to L&T
6.) Getting the card my husband gave me and reading the inside of it which read: To 30 years of Valentines and roses, hugs and kisses, love and tenderness, friendship and more, now and for eternity ~ Love Cowboy. (God I still get goosebumps and tingles just thinking about it.)
7.) Having the owner make me stand up while he introduced me as the girl who snagged (my husband) and having everyone toast to us, and to each other on such a special evening.
8.) Getting down to the end of the platter of spaghetti which we shared with two forks. My husband grabbed a strand, put one end in his mouth, and one in mine, and we ate the last strand together toward a kiss at the end.
9.) Then watching him without embarrassment as the rest of couples looked on, roll the last meatball across the plate with his nose toward me, and everyone clapped for his goofiness. That's when I knew I was going to marry him. Yep because of a meatball. What can I say? He looked adorable.
10.) Walking hand in hand down the street with the store lights twinkling around us, talking for hours as we headed to the Corral for a night of dancing.
11.) Getting to the Corral and having my husband introduce me to everyone he knew as the woman he was going to marry. My insides were flipping around. I was so in love and still am to this day.
12.) Having my husband grab my hand to take me on the dance floor as the DJ another friend of his announced: This goes out to Jodi from Corey, you never cease to Amaze me. Happy Valentines! Song was Amazed by Lonestar.
13.) Walking to the door at the end of the evening knowing I was taking a big risk in having him spend the night for the first time, because I was a single mom with a four year old. Waking up the next morning, fearful of how my son would react. Instead I heard laughter as they bounded in the bedroom and my shouted: "WE MADE YOU PANCAKES MOM!" Then he leaned over and whispered to me: "I LIKE COREY, CAN WE KEEP HIM?"

Oh this is the night, it's a beautiful night
And we call it bella notte
Look at the skies, they have stars in their eyes
On this lovely bella notte.
Side by side with your loved one,
You'll find enchantment here.
The night will weave its magic spell,
When the one you love is near!
Oh this is the night, and the heavens are right!
On this lovely bella notte!

It was the end to the most perfect Valentine Date I'd ever had. And well I did keep him, and have kept him for the past four years. Happy Valentines Day sweetheart. I love you for everything you are, for making me a better me, for loving us, for giving me Trace, for being my best friend and here's to another 30 years of Valentines Days together.
Happy 13 everyone!!!!!
