hump day: mastercard wishes and dreams
Well it's Wednesday(HUMP DAY), and it wouldn't be so if I didn't have something to worry about. This week it's our car, 1992 Plymouth Acclaim. We failed air care when we took it in with the basic reality that the damn auto is putting out more emissions than our government will allow for an old beast like ours. Not that (shes) our car's old really, she's in great shape.
We've owned her a year, and her body is still in it's 20's. But we took her in today to find out why she keeps coughing and puking whenever we go anywhere, deciding to quit right there in the middle of the intersection (not cool) and what it will cost to fix her. Our mechanic (a great guy) said our converter is going.
Cost to fix (her) our car: 150$.
Cost for 3 months insurance: 300$
Reality of knowing that we just don't have an extra 450$ right now -- not priceless.
Man I wish I had Mastercard!
