choose your own adventure
I came across a site here called WHAT'S YOUR STORY and a certain post that shows an interesting and fun writing exercise where you get to choose your OWN ADVENTURE with a fill in the blank story generator.
I use to read CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE books. The ones where you read the first four pages and then you are faced with a decision to make. Do you kill the evil slug and keep him from attacking the kingdom to which you live in? (jump to page 9) or do you save the princess by taking door number six and travel through time? (jump to page 18).
The books always kept me going, kept me interested and to this day I often sit down and write a few chapters of my own just to keep my creative juices flowing when I'm stuck on something.
Well this is like that. Thank you WHAT'S MY STORY for giving me an opportunity to participate and have a little fun along the way. You have a great site, with loads of great stuff. Below is my story for all of you to enjoy. Take a moment to do one too and post it here.
It was a dark and stormy night about a month ago in an old cabin in the hills. I was out for a walk when I realized that something wasn't right. You have probably had that experience before. I felt a cold chill, and I knew that soon I would have to find out the truth. My friend Emily had called me the previous day, and told me all about Michael's problem with the letter he wrote to Michelle, and I was a little worried about my sanity. Then, all of a sudden, I saw behind a tree what I realized was a huge masked man with a chainsaw, and right then I choked back a large belch! I remembered what Emily had told me about a situation like this. It was very important that I not throw up all over everyone. Very calmly, I picked up a big stick and waved my arms in the air. Before I knew it, I was curled up on the floor, and I discovered that I needed to lose a few pounds. So you see, I really had a 'blonde moment', and I decided I had to tell you all about it.

The Idiot's Guide to Life in General
I would always fall down a well and be stuck forever because of choosing page 7..
Makes for a very unhappy 8 year old. Must try this to see if my luck has improved over time.
