a surprise DOWN under
You know it's true what they say... you really can meet people from around the world and have it change it you for the better.
Take my friend Jo for instance. We recently just met--her living in Australia--me in Canada. It began with me receiving an e-mail from her about how she liked something I wrote and posted at Helium.com and then it just grew from there.
30 emails later I'm still scratching my head wondering what I did before I met her, and how lucky I am to have met such an amazing woman online. Sometimes we do have to bless technology for without it I wouldn't be able to find myself each day.
Joanne--Jo as I call her, is a very talented woman also. Check out her website as she has published three novels, with a fourth in the works. She writes pure, from the heart and everyone should be brave enough to dive into and tap that kind of potential within themselves.
She is kind, caring and trust me I've bent her ears with the details of my life, and not once did she pull away or say sorry can't talk now. Though I haven't begun stalking her ass yet either, as I told her I can get annoying with wanting information. Though as a fellow author working her way toward that ultimate goal of achieving that dream so many of us dream. I know she understands what I'm talking about.
Strange things happen every day to people everywhere. I guess I just got lucky today as it was my turn.
Thank you Helium for proving a way for authors to communicate with one another.
Thank you God for blessing me with a gift I can share with others who understand that being writer is something special and rare, hard work, annoying sometimes and can be lonely.
And finally thank you Joanne for taking the time to help out a girl in need of advice, companionship with laughter, sharing your life with me, and for helping me reach my potential by walking beside me.
I told my husband today "I made a new friend," when he came inside the house.
"That's nice," he replied.
Nice doesn't even begin to cover it I think to myself.
Friendships--the good ones--are special. I think I'm going to hang onto this one and enjoy the ride.
Wait up Jo, I got your ticket in my hand. You coming along? What better way to start a ride then with a friend right beside you to scream along with you when you finally reach the top.
PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO CHECK OUT JOANNE FEDLER'S WEBSITE. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!
